Small Group Life
4. Mission
Exodus 17:8-13
“To claim and to train and to send forth lives for the Lord Jesus Christ.”
17 Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. 18 When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God. Deuteronomy 25:17-19
15 Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner [Jehovah-Nissi]. 16 He said, “For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD.” Exodus 17:15-16
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24
I. _Live_ as a _Disciple_
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
I Peter 2:12
